Just because you can't see Them ...

The Iron King site launches today!

And, oh my, its pretty. Pretty and sparkly and ... well, you'll have to see it for yourself.

I wish links worked for me. But alas, blogger continues to hate me, no matter how many gifts I buy it. Anyway, check it out if you want; you can read the first three chapters of The Iron King, check out the video, and other cool stuff.

Also, the Grimalkin Rock/signed book contest ends in three days, so don't forget to enter if you haven't already. (Scroll down until you find the Grimalkin Rocks post.)
That's it for now. Until next time. :)

  1. Don't laugh, but is this a book a straight, married 30-something guy who likes scifi-fantasy, but who has nonetheless not yet taken that plunge into the more specifically fantasy/YA/teen lit will like? I'm talking about me. lol. I WANT to like it. I WANT to like a lot of the nice, pretty, sparkly fantasy YA/teen lit that is coming out, because it just seems like there's such a fun community of readers of this stuff out there, but I'm too embarrassed to be seen with it in public! lol

    Help! Thanks!

  2. Anon,

Well, I can honestly say that my 30-something, reads-more-than-I-do husband likes The Iron King. (Probably not the most un-biased viewpoint, but there ya go.) Good for you, taking that plunge into YA; there's a lot of great stuff coming out now, its not just for teens anymore. I myself used to only read adult fantasy, until I discovered the YA genre and was hooked. As for liking The Iron King, its probably a good book to start your YA adventure (imho, anyway) because it IS more like the traditional adult fantasy quest, just with a teenager. :)

Hope that helps. And thanks for your honesty. :)

  4. Dear Julie, thanks for your advice. Certainly takes a lot of the trepidation out for me and gives me the courage to take the plunge!

  5. Hi i enjoy your site and am reading the Iron daughter now. Had actually skimmed through the first book, and am engrossed in this one. Sage's death was very sad. I love all fey but mostly elves. Also, how did you find a publisher?

I have tried many times but to no avail. I am from outside of US, so it is hard to find an agent.
