It's the first day of Fall!!!
Wheeeeeeeeee!
Autumn is my absolute favorite time of year. I love it, so much more then Summer and quite a bit more then Spring. In fact, here's a neat little list about all the things I love about autumn.
1. Colder weather. I hate heat and I hate being outside in the sun, feeling like I'm about to melt into a gooey puddle on the sidewalk. Summer and I don't get along. My perfect day is crisp and cool, where you can see your breath on the air and smell the autumn leaves.
2. Hoodies. I love them. I have a thing for hoodies; I don't know why. Jackets, too. It's a sickness, really.
3. Autumn Leaves.
4. Firepits. Oooh, fire! *Poke poke, prod prod.* What else can I throw in there that will burn? (I may be a teeny bit of a firebug; my friends don't let me have lighters.)
5. Halloween.
6. Festivals.
7. Pumpkin Spice malts at Culvers.
8. Hoodies (I might've mentioned this earlier)
9. Scarecrows, hay bales, pumpkins, other fall decorations.
10. Getting ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
That's why I love autumn, so what's your favorite (and least favorite) time of year?
I love Autumn too. Pretty much for all the reasons you said above but especially the Summer and I don't get along with all the melty stuff. I dislike being hot and sweaty. I love cool air with a nice sweater on to talk a walk in. Love the leaves changing colour. Perfect season!

ReplyDeleteI was wondering though, why has there never been an Autumn Court in books (pertaining to Faeries)?
I absolutely love winter, i love the snow, and the cold, and the snow...did i mention i love snow???? I love being able to put on layers and wrap up warm, being the first to make prints in the fresh snow, i even plan holidays abroa for snow, unfortunatly living in UK doesnt give much option for snow, especially where i live.

Fall is awesome. My birthday's in October, which happens to be my very favorite month. I love the little chill in the air and the smell of burning leaves...yay for fall.
ReplyDeleteBut I HATE the winter. I hate the cold. I hate long sleeves and hats and scarves and boots. So, while I look forward to fall, I don't like what comes after it.
I love fire too! I went to an overnight camp in the summer and we had fires all the time!

Fall also means it's getting closer to the Iron Queen release date! (Slowly but surely...)
I love the fall. Other people like the summer, though I have no idea why. I can definately agree with you in the whole melty-puddle situation.

I LOVE Autumn and Winter. I hate Summer! I'm so glad it's almost over! I love hoodies, I wear they year round. My mom and husband can't get me to stop and it annoys them that I don't lol!
ReplyDeleteThe changing of the leaf colors is enough for me to love the Fall. Although, I also like this season for its crisp weather, warmer clothes, and great holidays. Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteWell, since I'm in FL there's not a TON of difference between Fall/Winter/Spring. We kinda get "slightly less humid with a few days of cold" mixed in to "OMGITSSOHOTI'MGONNADIE". But, that being said, I'm gonna miss summer. There's something about the pool that calms me.
