Second, I have a signed copy of Aimee Carter's PAWN (release date November 26) and a signed copy of Katie McGarry's CRASH INTO YOU to giveaway.
From acclaimed author Katie McGarry comes an explosive new tale of a good girl with a reckless streak, a street-smart guy with nothing to lose, and a romance forged in the fast lane
The girl with straight As, designer clothes and the perfect life-that’s who people expect Rachel Young to be. So the private-school junior keeps secrets from her wealthy parents and overbearing brothers…and she’s just added two more to the list. One involves racing strangers down dark country roads in her Mustang GT. The other? Seventeen-year-old Isaiah Walker-a guy she has no business even talking to. But when the foster kid with the tattoos and intense gray eyes comes to her rescue, she can’t get him out of her mind.
Isaiah has secrets, too. About where he lives, and how he really feels about Rachel. The last thing he needs is to get tangled up with a rich girl who wants to slum it on the south side for kicks-no matter how angelic she might look.
But when their shared love of street racing puts both their lives in jeopardy, they have six weeks to come up with a way out. Six weeks to discover just how far they’ll go to save each other.
For Kitty Doe, it seems like an easy choice. She can either spend her life as a III in misery, looked down upon by the higher ranks and forced to leave the people she loves, or she can become a VII and join the most powerful family in the country.
If she says yes, Kitty will be Masked—surgically transformed into Lila Hart, the Prime Minister's niece, who died under mysterious circumstances. As a member of the Hart family, she will be famous. She will be adored. And for the first time, she will matter.
There's only one catch. She must also stop the rebellion that Lila secretly fostered, the same one that got her killed and one Kitty believes in. Faced with threats, conspiracies and a life that's not her own, she must decide which path to choose—and learn how to become more than a pawn in a twisted game she's only beginning to understand.
You know you want them. So just enter the Rafflecopter below, and we hope to see you on December 6th!

So many! But probably Richelle Mead the most, because some of the issues in her books remind me that I'm not alone.
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for every single author on the planet! Because without authors, then there would be no alternate worlds to explore in words.
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for Libba Bray. Without discovering her books, I would not know I enjoy historical fiction as much as I do!
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for all of them, really. But I suppose I'll go with JK Rowling, who was the first author I took the time to learn about. But really, you're all amazing and I'm thankful for each and every one of you!
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful for Laura Bickle, she writes amazing books and is one of the sweetest persons I know.
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful to really every author out there. They make me feel not alone when I am. But mostly I want to thank Tahereh Mafi, because her words are powerful and brilliant. She makes me have a lot of emotions.
ReplyDeleteIs it cheesy if I say YOU? LOVE your books!!

ReplyDeleteSarah Dessen is a woman who has helped me out during tough times in my adolescence. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteIt's hard to choose just one because I'm so grateful and thankful to so many authors that it's unbelievable! When I'm down or angry, all I've got to do is read a book and my mood is instantly changed! The one that I've come to love and am extremely grateful for is Rachel Caine, author of The Morganville Vampires Series because not only did she invent the world of Morganville but she has always been there for her fans. She's been showing how much she is grateful of them and does so much including trying her utmost best to bring us as much of Morganville as she can! Looking forward to the web series in 2014!! Thank you Rachel!
ReplyDeleteI don't think I could choose just one author to be thankful for, I love them all! They're all awesome (:

ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway.
can i say i'm thankful for all authors? because of them all, they keep me entertained with books.
ReplyDeleteThat's very difficult to choose but i'll have to say C.S Lewis. The Chronicles of Narnia was the first lengthier series I owned. Prior to that it was mostly children's books or novels selected by school. It's what made me fall in love with reading! I've had only good experiences since so i'm very thankful!
ReplyDeleteI'm very thankful for Leigh Brescia because her book was the first YA novel I read that got me hooked and addicted to that genre.
ReplyDeleteLots of them: Jeri Smith-Ready, J.K. Rowling, Katie McGarry, George R.R. Martin, you, they've let me live all these with wonderful adventures through their books.
ReplyDeleteDebra Doxer and KC Hilton, although they are not popular authors they have great books and because of that i grew closer to them helping them achieve what they deserve and also Katie Sise who emailed me worrying how I was in the Philippines :)

I am thankful for Huntley Fitzpatrick for creating such an amazing book and a wonderful love story.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many!! I can't just pick one. I love discovering new authors and new worlds.
ReplyDeleteAll! Each author creates a story that sucks me in and I'm thankful for the creativity and storytelling that pulls me away from my life for a little bit.
ReplyDeleteAn individual author, I guess, would have to be Stephenie Meyer. If it wasn't for the Twilight series, I'm not sure I would be hooked on reading and YA. Those books really got me back into the reading spirit!
All of them! YA authors are seriously the best, the way they work really hard to connect with the fans, it's inspiring. And I'm also very grateful for the opportunity I had to meet you, Kaite, and Aimée this summer.
ReplyDeleteAnne Mcaffery for introducing me to SCI-FI and Sally Roger-Davidson for making me fall in love with it :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm thankful for Julie herself, because the Iron Fey books got me excited about reading again. I'd gotten to the point where I'd read a lot of good books, don't get me wrong, but they where all kind of samey, then I read Iron Fey and got so excited about them. I also may or may not practice my acting skills by doing Meghan's lines....shhhhhhh
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness...how to answer this question. I am thankful for Gertrude Chandler Warner for sparking my initial interest in reading all those years ago when I was a precocious 5 year old looking for something to do and picked up a Boxcar Children's book to read.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I'm thankful for ALL authors. Without them, I would live a bored, uneventful life.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, that "ALL" authors includes you too Julie. ;D

ReplyDeleteTahereh Mafi for her gorgeous writing and amazing characters.
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for all of the amazing authors out there who continue to come up with new and wonderful stories that keep us up all night reading!
ReplyDeleteThe author I'm thankful for is Khaled Hosseini, without him I would never be into reading. 'The Kite Runner' was simply amazing, it ripped me to shreds, but I couldn't put it down. It was so powerful and not the typical 'westernised' setting and point of view that so many people show.
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for Suzanne Collins. I remember THG being the first series that really changed me! (read it before HP)
ReplyDeleteI'm very thankful for the author Sherrilyn Kenyon. Not only does she write amazing books but she truly cares about her fans and people in general. She's more than willing to help you with problems if you contact her, she's started many antibullying and hate groups and have even funded many popular ones, and her books always have a hidden heartfelt message behind them that just warms my heart. I love her so much and I'm glad I found her and her books <3

ReplyDeleteC. S. Lewis because reading The Chronicles of Narnia was an amazing experience.

I would definitely have to say Rick Riordan for introducing me to the amazing world of mythology and Veronica Roth for making me love all things dystopian. And Julie Kagawa for introducing me to the Fey and getting me hooked on them.
ReplyDeleteI don't which author I would pick. There all so good at the job and being so creative with there books. I would have to say that I have read all of or mostly all of Julie Kagawa books. She is a great author has a very creative mind. I would also like to say that Charlaine harris is a great author for introducing me into this mystical world.
ReplyDeleteWow..
