Aww this is too awesome. It goes to show that in this day and age of instant gratification, where everybody thinks that if the first thing you put out to the world isn't good then you are never going to make it, you dont have to necessarily be perfect the first time around in order to make it. I mean you are an awesome writer, and I am so glad you continued writing even though it took a long time for your first book to be published. Go Julie!
I agree with you. Thanks for sharing that, Julie. It gives me hope that someday, my friend and I are going to get published. And keep making more videos, please.
Hurray for determination! Going off what Taschima (or Natascha) said, it's true that once a good event happens in someone's life, it is celebrated but sometimes people in the same field of interest get discouraged because they haven't gotten their moment yet. I think it's easy to forget that we don't always see the hard work and sacrifice that goes into writing or a book or anything other kind of work...we only see the end result.
Anyway, I'm happy for your successes (present and future!) :) thanks for a great video!
Hey Julie! I totally agree with your Vlog by the way, but this is a completely irrelevant post, as I had no idea how to contact you otherwise. I am writing my own faery story and I was wondering what I should call 'Faeryland', as I am wanting to include Shakespeare's faeries as well, but so far my research has come up blank, and I have no idea where they live apart from in the Nevernever. I didn't want to use the Nevernever incase you had made it up, so instead I used Avalon, but I wasn't sure if Puck, Mab, Titania and Oberon lived in Avalon. A wikipedia article also came up about Tir Na Nog, and I believe that was the name of 'Faeryland', but you used Tir Na Nog as Ash's home in the Unseelie court, so I didn't know if that was valid either. Please help me! I am so confused! ~ Melarn
