When the Hero Comes Home Anthology

Sooooo, now for something totally new.

And awesome.

I'm in an anthology! Yep, I wrote a short story for the upcoming anthology When the Hero Comes Home.

<---(See, there I am, the seventh name down.)

If you want to know what its about, well, the title pretty much says it all. Its about when the hero comes home from his heroic journey, or what happens AFTER he saves the world. Will things be the same? Will he be treated differently? Or even recognized? It has a lot of great writers, like Todd McCaffery and Jim C. Hines. AND its co-edited by Ed Greenwood. (Fangirl squee.) (If you don't know who Ed Greenwood is, you're likely not a geek.)

Anyway, you can check it out on Goodreads and let me know your thoughts. Its expected to be out sometime in August, so put it on your TBR pile. :)

  2. Two questions: Is it adult or YA?

Also, a random one: I wanted to make a Google Chrome theme for the Iron Fey series. Would using the covers be infringing on copyright?

  3. It is adult this time. And I'm not sure about that other question. I think you'd have to ask HarlequinTEEN.

  4. Sadness :(

Thanks, I will. :) (I'm a little bit obsessed with the Iron Fey :P)

  5. That's so cool! I'll definitely keep it on my list of upcoming books to read! And thank you SO very much for writing Summer's Crossing; what a wonderful way to give us a taste of Ash and Puck while we wait for The Iron Knight(Is it November yet??). :)

  6. Is the short story in this a part of the Iron Fey series or something independent of that?

  7. @Jeen She said it's adult, so I figure it's something else. That would be awesome, though. *goes off to plan more Iron Fey fanfic*

  8. Totally off topic:

I don't know how else to contact you so I will be putting it here in the comments section.

I would just like to show my appreciation to you, Julie Kagawa, for making a blog. Everytime I read about Meghan, Ash, Puck, Grim and the other characters talking like they're real people, I can't help but smile. I am always inspired whenever I read these conversations and I can't help but think I'm in heaven.

I also love all the other senseless rants that I read about and to me, they're not senseless at all. You are the inspirational idol that every aspiring author needs. You aren't too harsh but you aren't that soft either. You are honest about your opinions and I find it very easy to relate to you.

And, if I don't stop talking now, my head will explode. :) Thank you, Julie. You mean the world to me.

Oh, and by the way, the April Fool's Day prank you pulled of did not go unnoticed and I would like to show you what Ash's fans will do for revenge. >:) Just click this link: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/567419-the-iron-fey-series-discussion

Right now, it's on the very bottom of the page but I don't know how many people would've already commented by the time you see it.

So, this is my "June Fool's Day" special!

    ^_____^ Best wishes!!!

  9. *goes to Goodreads* There it is! *adds to TBR pile*

This sounds really interesting! I've always wondered what happens AFTER the Happily Ever After :)

  10. "When the Hero Comes Home" is adult sf/f. Some of the stories are more adult than others, but several of them are quite YA-friendly. (including Julie's, which isn't an Iron Fey tie-in, but it's one of my favorites).

Even though the official release is in August, it's been released early. It's available now on Amazon!

    Thanks for the mention, Julie!
